FAQs

Q: What is your style of photography?

A: My style is photojournalistic, defined by me as 'shooting more verbs than nouns'. Most weddings produce between 90-100% candids. I like natural looking photos that capture the unique and emotional moments of a wedding day. I spend your wedding day looking for people interacting and having fun, or crying, laughing, hugging…stuff like that. Formal family group photos are accomplished efficiently, usually right before or after the ceremony, before all the fun gets started.
My clients typically wish to spend less time posing for photos, and more time interacting with family and friends. That being said, I'm happy to carve out time for posed photos if a client wishes...it's all about you!

Q: Where are you located? Will you cover our wedding at (our location)?

A: I'm based in Clinton NJ so regularly travel to North and Central NJ, the Jersey Shore, and Bucks County, PA.

Q: What is your background?

A: Most of my work is wedding photojournalism, corporate advertising and editorial photos, and some local sports/news for the Express-Times. I'm a lifelong NJ resident, and have been a professional photographer since 2005.

Q: Do you work alone or with a second photographer?

A: I generally work with an assistant who helps with equipment and lighting. I move around constantly, and find that a second photographer is only a benefit for larger weddings with over 300 guests.

Q: How long will it take to see our photos?

A: Your photos will be available on my proofing website within ten days of the wedding. All clients also receive all high resolution (printable) images on custom thumb drive in the mail about a week later. I also like to put a few up on Facebook the day after the wedding.

Q: How many photos should we expect to receive?

A: I select the best 300-600 photos and hand process each one to ensure it is just right.

Q: Do you belong to any professional organizations?

A: Yes, I’m very proud to belong to the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). The WPJA only allows qualified and approved wedding photojournalists to join, and judges every member quarterly based upon submitted photos.

Q: Do you use a written contract?

A: Yes, a basic agreement of everything we talk about.

Q: Do you have insurance?

A: Yes, and a Certificate of Insurance is available for your venue- just ask.

Q: Do you have backup equipment?

A: Yes, all Nikon professional equipment with backups for everything.

Q: What are your payment terms?

A: In order for me to reserve the wedding date, a $500 non-refundable retainer is required. The total balance will be due 10 days prior to the wedding date.

Q: Do you take credit cards?

A: Yes, through PayPal, although there is an additional 3% charge for this option.
